New from Vondom
BONES is the new and elegant collection of flowerpot / planters designed by the Italian architects Ludovica and Roberto Palomba for VONDOM. To be released in 2012, this unique range is reversible, in that it can be planted with the broader end at floor level or inverted. An invisible internal structure provides the necessary strength transmitting the weight from the base of the container to the base of the flowerpot to achieve support for any plant or tree. BONES is manufactured in resin using their rotomoulding technique and avaialbe in a wide range of finishes.

Scandinavian design house Muuto have recently released their Reflect sideboard, designed by Soren Rose Studio. Taking inspiration from the soft, unique, natural light of Scandinavia, the designers have used Oak wood and specially curved front panels to create the light reflections that were intended, and in turn, giving the piece it's name. One of Erik Jorgensen's design classics has been rejuvinated in time for Spring! The EJ5 Corona has been released with 5 new lacquered frames upholstered in different combinations with 2-5 fabrics for each frame colour. Known as the Corona Spectrum.

Zaha Hadid has designed her first product for Magis! TIDE is a wall shelving system in standard injection moulded glossy ABS, available in 3 colours.
Also new to Magis is Martino Gamper. He has releassed his VIGNA Chair - an indoor or outdoor chair with a steel rod frame and bi-injection moulded polypropylene seat (a technology allowing the seat to be produced in two colours). Click on the images for more information.

Painting with Photography
No wonder Marco Eychenne is one of the leading creative directors for advertising in Australia today... Born in Lyon, France, he was a cartoonist by age 8 and a publicity poster producer (for his actor father) a few years later! Since then he hasn't slowed down, after receiving his Masters of Fine Arts from ENSAD (Paris) he now resides in Sydney and as well as working in advertising, he exhibits his art work all over the world!
Marco Eychenne’s art invites us into a completely different world. His unique technique embraces photography, provocative concepts and sensual drawing which explores the emotional and the engaging side of life and beauty. His style radiates sensuality, intrigue, delicacy, and symbolism. He wishes his art to engage one’s eyes and to agitate one’s mind.

New lighting from Melogranoblu
Italian lighting company Melogranoblu have a truly unique series of suspension lamps. Hand blown Venetian glass is suspended via a coloured, metallic, mesh rope in any composition and illuminated by an external fixed light source creating a beautifully magical and sophisticated lighting sculpture.

XXII Compasso D'Oro Adi
Magis was awarded the prestigious Compasso D'Oro this year for the Steelwood Chair, designed by the Bouroullec brothers, which every three years is given to the best Italian design products in quality and value. Magis also received a nomination for the table Piggyback, designed by Thomas Heatherwick.

New from Normann Copenhagen
'Plane' is a gorgeous, adventurous product fresh from Denmark. Designed by Ole Sondergaard, the plane can satisfy the sense of adventure from all ages. Made from lacquered wood with non-toxic black, red or blue paint and available in 3 sizes. This little product is a fantastic way to lift the energy in the room.
This beautiful cooking product designed by Mario Bellini and brought over from Italy is a design icon in itself. With a mirror-like 12/ 15 mm cooking plate made from top grade S355 steel and coating of hard chromium, the Onfalos cooks to perfection and looks stunning.
The Onfalos is equipped with two thermostatic controls that can maintain the ideal cooking temperature and control the heat-regulated burners. There are no naked flames and very little heat emissions as the burners are located inside and under the plate.
The plate is incredibly smooth and so the food does not burn or smoke. No added fats or oils are necessary. It is also extremely easy to clean which enhances the safety and hygiene of the product.
